How Much Should I Pay: 2007 Honda Civic EX

Question: Hi,

Unfortunately, it didn’t work for the 2008 Civic or the 2008 Accord. But I have now seen the following USED Civic

Year: 2007
Make: Honda
Model: Civic
Trim: Sedan EX with Navigation AND 5Yr/100K Warranty of which 4Yrs is still remaining
Mileage: 22000
Asking Price: $17500 (FIRM)
Pricing without the Navigation is also fine. Thanks

Can you tell me if this is good deal for this car? Thanks

Queen of the Road: Sorry to hear that the newer models didn’t work for you. That’s okay though! New cars depreciate like crazy. The second you drive a new car off the lot, it can depreciate 15%-20% or more depending on the car.

For a 2007 Honda Civic EX with 22,000 miles, prices can range from $16,300 (being in above average condition) to $15,400 (being in average condition) and $14,500 (being below average condition). Generally, most dealerships have about a minimum 12%-14% markup from wholesale prices. Expect a dealership to settle for the above figures +$1600. So an average condition Civic EX will most likely retail for $17,100.

How’s the condition of the car? We recommend that you keep negotiating.  There should be plenty of pre-owned Honda Civics around so take some extra time to negotiate a great deal. Happy Car Shopping!
