RECALL: GM’s Pontiac Vibes Shattering Windows

General Motors Corp. is recalling 122,593 Pontiac Vibe passenger cars in the United States to fix bolts in the power window system that can become loose and lead to the window shattering.

It’s similar to a recall of more than 500,000 2003-2004 model year Toyota Corolla and Matrix vehicles announced Wednesday. The vehicles share a common platform and are built in a GM-Toyota joint venture in Fremont, Calif. That’s scary.
