How Much Should I Pay: 2006 Ford Fusion (Updated)

This Is An Update To A Previous Question

Follow Up Comment:  Looking at a 2006 Ford Fusion SE. They are asking $15500.00 It has 23000 miles. Is that a good price? It’s a 4C with side air bags. Thanks, Karen

Queen of the Road: Hi Karen. Yikes! The seller is aiming pretty high. Is this a price from a dealership or private seller? The price is marked up too high.

For a 2006 Ford Fusion SE with 23,000 miles, prices range from $13,100 (being in above average condition) to $11,800 (being in average condition) and $10,500 (being in below average condition).

Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $11,800 to $14,600. So ask for much much less. Ain for wholesale and if the seller is too stubborn, keep car shopping because that $15.5k is ridiculous. If you stumble across another car, run the prices through our team of experts and we’ll be happy to help you. Best of luck, Karen!
