How Much Should I Pay: 2006 Honda Accord (Updated)

This Is An Update To A Previous Question
Follow Up Comment: I’m still looking at Honda Accords. I looked at one dealers which I’m taking a look soon. Can you tell me if this sounds to be a good deal for this particular vehicle? Would it be in excellent condition or not so for this price? Would Internet pricing be cheaper than not?
2006 Honda Accord EXL V-6 Sedan with no navigation. There are a lot of nice options in this car as well. The mileage is 25,180 and they’re asking $19,500.00. Waiting on the CarFax on this one.
I was also looking at a 2005 Honda Accord EXL v6 with navigation fully loaded for 20,965.00 with 46,000 miles and only 1 owner. The CarFax was a clean report as well. Which year is better if any with these two years mentioned? Does the 2005 sound like a good deal as well?
Thanks Again~
Rob
MuscleCarGuy: Hi Rob, It is a pleasure to help people pay a fair price on a car purchase.
For a 2006 Honda Accord Sedan EX-L V6 with 25,180 miles, prices range from $19,350 (being in above average condition) to $17,500 (being in average condition) and $15,700 (being in below average condition). Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $17,500 to $22,000.
For a 2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX-L V6 With Navigation and with 45,000 miles, prices range from $16,400 (being in above average condition) to $15,000 (being in average condition) and $13,600 (being in below average condition). Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $15,200 to $18,700.
The 2006 sounds like a good deal, but for the 2005 they will have to lower a couple thousands to be worth it. You shouldn’t pay $1,500 more for a car that is one year older and has 20K miles more just because of the Navigation.
