How Much Should I Sell: 2003 Saab 9-3

Question From Debbie: I would like to sell a 2003 Saab 9-3 arc, 4 door , 82,000 miles. It’s in very good condition. Could you please tell me how much you think I should ask and expect to get for it?
Thank you.
Queen of the Road: Hi Debbie. Welcome to AutoBragBlog!
For a 2003 Saab 9-3 Arc with 82,000 miles, prices range from $8,500 (being in above average condition) to $6,900 (being in average condition) and $5,300 (being in below average condition).
Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $6,300 to $9,700.
We’re you planning to trade it in or sell it yourself? Keep in mind that selling it to a private party will most likely get you a greater return than trading in.

Thank you so much for getting back to me with this information. It’s very helpful.
My husband told me about your web site. I think he just found it by looking around on the internet.
Unfortunately, I co-signed on this car, bought it used from our local Ford dealer for $13,000, a supposed deal 2 months ago. It was all a huge mistake for many reasons and I’m afraid I’m stuck with taking a $4000 loss if I sell it. The person I co-signed for is not coming through with the payments and I feel like a fool. I can cover the payments for only a couple months.
Sorry to dump my sob story on you. It helped to know what I’m up against, at least.
Thanks again.
Debbie
