Question For AutoBrag: How To Get The Maximum Discount?

Question From Laura: I am somewhat confused here. I love reading all about your Autobrag Deals of the Day. However, when I go to look at the details, the discount listed is usually less than the nat\’l max discount listed for that same vehicle (the numbers posted underneath the thumbs-up sign). Why not just give us the info for the dealership that is offering the nat\’l max discount? Or maybe you can only get that nat\’l max discount through haggling. I\’m up for that if need be, just please help me to understand what all of those numbers are trying to tell me! Love, love, love your blog. Hopefully the dealers won\’t find a way of corrupting it. (No offense to you good dealers out there who may be part of the Autobrag panel!)
Gratefully,
Laura
MuscleCarGuy: Hi Laura. Welcome to our blog! We are glad to know that you enjoy readying our blogs and we hope that people like you can save money on a new car purchase.
For the Deal Of The Day we try to find a car with the best discount compared to the used wholesale market for the same vehicle. The maximum discount sometimes doesn’t mean that a specific car would be the best buy when you compare with another used car. The maximum discount in AutoBrag is for Year, Make and Model; we don’t separate them by Trims. Usually the cars that have a bigger discount are not the ones with the most popular trim.
