How Much Should I Pay: 2009 Honda Civic

Question From CindyWhat price should I expect to pay for a 2009 Honda Civic LX-S (automatic) in the Los Angeles area? Can we ask for a greater discount if we are paying cash (no financing is required).

Queen of the Road:  Hi Cindy. Welcome to our blog! These are all the trims we have available at the moment.

DX-VP 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 5A)
EX 2dr Coupe (1.8L 4cyl 5A)
EX-L 2dr Coupe (1.8L 4cyl 5A)
Hybrid 4dr Sedan (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
LX 2dr Coupe (1.8L 4cyl 5A)
LX 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 5A)

If you’d like something other than a LX-S, please choose a trim(s) and I’ll begin deal searching for you.

It’s always a good time to pay with cash for a used car, but if you’re buying from a dealer, it doesn’t matter. Some dealerships profit off of people financing. So certain dealerships prefer if customers finance instead of offer cash. Now’s the best time to get a better deal on 2008s, but not as much with 2009s. Then again, the state of the economy will probably allow you to get a good deal with anything. Ask for a discount regardless.
