How Much Should I Pay: 2009 Chevrolet Equinox

Question From Rachel: The car listed for 25,025 (2010 Chevy Equinox LT1 4 dr SUV (2.4L 4 cyl 6A) with PCU Vehicle Interface Package and AE8 Power Driver Seat Adjuster). They offered 800 for the trade in, 1,000 off if you own non-GM cars. I think they reduced it slightly (Around 500) as your dad remembers the final price being in the ballpark of 22,725. Next, they had to add on 189 for administrative fees. Then they offered us 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. Of course they were trying to talk us into extended warranty, dent repairs, etc. The finance rep even said he would try to negotiate in a free bike hitch and rack if we would buy last night. Needless to say, we walked out as we were really confused by then.
Basically, my dad is trying to buy a new Equinox and I am trying to figure out how much room he has to negotiate. What do you think?
Thanks, Rachel
