How Much Should I Pay: 2004/2005 Toyota Corolla

November 5th, 2008

Question: i am looking for a toyota corola year 2004 or 2005..i am looking on autotrader but the price still high for me. how would i find your prices

Queen of the Road: Hello there and welcome to AutoBragBlog! What we generally do with pre-owned cars is provide people with wholesale prices. We do not sell any cars, just provide fair prices. So, people will ask us how much they should pay or sell a specific car.

Let’s say you find a car you’d like to pursue on AutoTrader, but you think the price is too high. You simply send me the year, model, trim, mileage and vin. Then, I’ll send you a range of what is a fair price and a high price to pay/sell. It’s quite simple. So just send me the info. or link of the car you’d like and I’d be happy to pull up some prices for you!

Follow Up Comment: V6 4WD

However since then I have found a 2005 with every imaginable option including the navigation system (too bad I would prefer the DVD entertainment system for the grand kids) with 23K miles for 15,995. IF it is still available should I call and tell them to hold it for me? It will take me 4 hours to get there to test drive it. It is a 4WD V6

How Much Should I Pay: 2005 Toyota Matrix

May 14th, 2008

Question From Mary Ann: Hey! We went into a dealership in April inquiring about the Matrix. I was interested in a used, but they had just sold the last two. So the lady we talked to called and said they just got a Matrix in:

2005 Toyota Matrix XR
automatic
41,958 miles
two-wheel drive (doesn’t mention AWD on their website)

I see foglights as an option on the picture. They mention stell wheels. no moonroof, not sure if it has side driver and passenger airbags (not mentioned)

Asking price is $12,845, but it does not include “sales tax, tire tax, registration, title, license plates, and document processing fees.” wonder how much those “document processing fees” are.

I think that’s all the info about the car!

Thanks so much for all your help!!!

MuscleCarGuy: Hi Mary Ann! Welcome back to AutoBragBlog, where we do all the car price researching for you.

For a 2005 Toyota Matrix 2WD XR with 41,958 miles, prices range from $12,800 (being in above average condition) to $11,300 (being in average condition) and $9,900 (being in below average condition).

Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $11,000 to $14,600.
