What are all these blue links for? The first blue link breaks down the numbers so that you don’t have to do any math or researching. You’ll see exactly how much money you’re saving if you pay the “Internet Price”. It also lists the National Average Discount, the National Maximum Discount and the National Average Price for each vehicle. We also provide our personal opinion to whether we think the deal is good or not.

If we approve the deal, we’ll show a thumbs up and “Bring Your Checkbook“.

If we think the deal is ok, we’ll show a thumb tilted sideways and “Fair Market“.

If we disapprove the deal, we’ll show a thumbs down and “Keep Shopping“.

The second blue link is the proof you’ll need when you step foot onto the dealership. Don’t leave home without it! It’s the page that shows the price which you’ll be asking for. It’s basically what you need to pull up on their computers if they don’t believe you found that price online form that dealer’s inventory.

So now what? Print out all the blue links above and take them to your local dealerships. But before you go, we highly recommend you call and make an appointment to see the Internet Fleet Manager because he/she should know exactly what you’re talking about. Avoid the floor salesmen, head straight to the Internet Sales Manager.

If they don’t believe your prices, ask to use one of their computers so they can see where these figures came from. It’ll be impossible for them to doubt you because you’re pulling up a dealership’s website and checking their inventory. Remember, cars are a commodity so these prices apply everywhere in the U.S.  If you want to research more new car prices, poke around on www.autobrag.com. Keep us posted with how everything goes.

Let us know if you or your friends/family need any advice or have any further questions. Goodluck!

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Infiniti EX35

February 7th, 2008

Question:   I am in the market for a 2008 Infiniti EX35 Journey.  Loaded with everything except the technology package (premium leather package, etc.).  What would be a fair price if I bought it and what would be a fair lease payment? Please either tell me how much it should be with no money down or let me know what is  acceptable to pay up front (i.e., tax, tags, first months lease payment).  My salesman tells me that the residual value is 54%.

MuscleCarGuy:   We found only one good deal on the 2008 Infiniti EX35; you can print out the link below and take it to your local dealer. Ask for the Internet Fleet Manager and he should be able to work with you and these numbers. The first thing to do when you lease a car is to try to negotiate the buying price for the vehicle. The residual is based on the MSRP, in your case it will be 54% of the MSRP for the specific car that you are buying. To calculate the exactly payment for your lease I would need to know the money factor, how many months for the lease and sales tax. Below there are some links for lease calculators. Good Luck!!!

For a 2008 Infiniti EX35 Journey 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A),

The lowest Internet Price: $37,904.00
MSRP: $42,025.00

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Infiniti G35

I am planning on leasing and I believe the MF is 0.0021 w/ residual of 59% on a 3yr/15k miles/year lease.

When trading in a car should you fix and detail the car as much as possible? Do you think that it would help the trade in value?

Queen of the Road: Hi there!

The 2007 model has a Cash Back Incentive of $2,000. This incentive is being offered to the Dealership upon purchase. Expires: 1/2/2008 This means you need to mention the incentive and be sure that $2000 goes into YOUR pocket, not there’s.

For the 2004 Cadillac Escalade 2WD with 36,159 miles, prices range from $22,900 (being in above average condition) to $20,600 (average condition) to $18,200 (being

in below average condition). Keep in mind that these are average wholesale prices.

For the 2004 Cadillac Escalade 4WD, prices range from $24,300 (being in above average condition) to $22,600 (average condition) to $20,900 (being in below average condition).

In my opinion, I wouldn’t bother trading in the car. It doesn’t hurt to fix and detail the car as much as possible, but when trading in a vehicle a dealership will more often pay you less than the wholesale price. Fixing the car is better than detailing, although washing it is a smart idea. Consider that if you are buying a new car from them they will give you abetter price on the trade-in. They still may give you the worst price on the new car. In some states, a trade-in lowers the price of new cars and taxes are charged on the new car minus the trade-in value.

Now for your amigos…

For the 2004 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with 81,000 miles, prices range from $13,400 (being in above average condition) to $12,100 (average condition) to $10,800 (being in below average condition). Again, these are wholesale prices.
