What are all these blue links for? The first blue link breaks down the numbers so that you don’t have to do any math or researching. You’ll see exactly how much money you’re saving if you pay the “Internet Price”. It also lists the National Average Discount, the National Maximum Discount and the National Average Price for each vehicle. We also provide our personal opinion to whether we think the deal is good or not.

If we approve the deal, we’ll show a thumbs up and “Bring Your Checkbook“.

If we think the deal is ok, we’ll show a thumb tilted sideways and “Fair Market“.

If we disapprove the deal, we’ll show a thumbs down and “Keep Shopping“.

The second blue link is the proof you’ll need when you step foot onto the dealership. Don’t leave home without it! It’s the page that shows the price which you’ll be asking for. It’s basically what you need to pull up on their computers if they don’t believe you found that price online form that dealer’s inventory.

So now what? Print out all the blue links above and take them to your local Honda dealerships. But before you go, we highly recommend you call and make an appointment to see the Internet Fleet Manager because he/she should know exactly what you’re talking about. Avoid the floor salesmen, head straight to the Internet Sales Manager.

If they don’t believe your prices, ask to use one of their computers so they can see where these figures came from. It’ll be impossible for them to doubt you because you’re pulling up a Honda dealership’s website and checking their inventory. Remember, cars are a commodity so these prices apply everywhere in the U.S. This car in New York should cost the same in California. The taxes vary by state. Keep us posted with how everything goes.

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Volkswagen Passat (Updated)

March 20th, 2008

This Is An Update To A Previous Question

Follow Up Comment: Thank you,  I think that this ePrice is for the turbo not the Lux, in autobrag if you go to search options and clik in lux the lowest is $29,610.00$

Please let me know if I´m wrong

Queen of the Road: Hi, Jose. The LUX has a base MSRP of $29. This deal has more options and $2k in savings.

What’s the MSRP for the quote for $29k? If the MSRP is $33k, then you got yourself a good deal.  Don’t hesitate to ask us how to navigate through the site if it gets too complicated.

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Volkswagen Passat

March 19th, 2008

Question From Jose:  Hi.

Year: 2008
Make: VW
Model: Passat 2.0T Lux
Miles: new
From: Dealer
sedan

Selling or trading:

Year: 2002
Make: Ford
Model: Windstar SE
Mileage: 80k

The VW Passat who I’m looking for will be exported to Spain, so some of the features like GPS, Sirius, extended warranty or even the triptonic (because the better gas average of the manual) I don’t really need. But I really want the Climatronic and the memory seat, I did a research and probably only the Lux has both. The best so far is 29450 for a Passat lux 2008.

Thank you

Jose

Queen of the Road:  Hi, Jose. Welcome to AutoBragBlog, where we do your car price researching for you at no charge.

For the 2002 Ford Windstar V6 3.8L SE with 80,000 miles, prices range from $5,400 (being in above average condition) to $4,400 (being in average condition) and $3,400 (being in below average condition). Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices.

After a dealership gets their hands on your car, they’ll usually flip it for an extra +12%-14% more than wholesale. So, estimated when it comes time to sell your car, their retail prices can range from $4.2k - $6.3k. So there’s you range. Let us know if you need any help selling/trading in or buying.

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Volkswagen GTI & 2008 Honda Civic SI

February 13th, 2008

Question from Charles:   2008 VW GTI 2D/4D Manual Transmission

2008 Mazdaspeed 3 Manual Transmission

2008 Honda Civic SI 4D Manual Transmission

Queen of the Road: Hi, Charles. Here’s how AutoBrag prices usually work… Even though the prices are from dealerships elsewhere, if you print out the links below and take them with you to your local Volkswagen/Mazda/Honda dealerships, you can apply these prices in your negotiation. Ask to talk to the Internet Fleet Manager because he/she should know exactly what you’re talking about. Call and make an appointment to see him/her first. You may waste time speaking with a floor salesman.

If they don’t believe you, ask to use one of their computers so they can see for themselves. It’s impossible for them to doubt your prices because you’re pulling up another Volkswagen/Mazda/Honda dealership’s website and checking their inventory. They may be hesitant to help because these deals kill commission, but if no one wants to work with you, simply go to another dealership. Here you go…

For a 2008 Volkswagen GTI 2dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A),

The Lowest Internet Price: $22,359.00
MSRP: $23,635.00
ePrice: $22,359.00
Savings: $1,276.00
% OFF MSRP: 5.40 %

We rate this deal so-so. We’ve found better deals before.

For a 2008 Volkswagen GTI 4dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A),

The Lowest Internet Price: $22,534.00
MSRP: $25,195.00
ePrice: $22,534.00
Savings: $2,661.00
% OFF MSRP: 10.56 %

This deal is actually pretty good. We approve.

For the 2008 Mazda3, did you want the i or the s? Sport or Touring or Grand Touring?

For the 2008 Honda Civic Si 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 6M),

The Lowest Internet Price: $20,940.00
MSRP: $21,945.00
ePrice: $20,940.00
Savings: $1,005.00
% OFF MSRP: 4.58 %

Again, this is another so-so deal. I’d wait till next week to see what’s in store for new Civic deals.
