Question: I would like to buy a new 2010 Honda Civic VP. What would be a good price for this car? What additional fees have to be added to the price you quote me? If I opt for the 0.9% financing, are there a lot of fees involved in that?
Thank you,
Queen of the Road: What is the MSRP? Keep in mind that the price you pay all depends on the MSRP of the car you’re looking at. Additional fees would include dealership fees, taxes, registration, etc.

How Much Should I Pay: 2009 Honda Fit & 2010 Honda Fit Prices
February 24th, 2010

Question: How much should I pay for a new 2009 or 2010 Honda Fit (base automatic)? I can pay in full with cash. I graduated in May 09, if that makes any difference. I live in Baltimore, MD.
Queen of the Road: There is a misconception that “paying cash” gets the buyer a better deal but this is not the case. Regardless of whether someone pays off the car immediately or finances the vehicle the dealership gets their money all the same. That is why the price AutoBrag provides does not and should not factor in how the car is purchased.

This method is the easiest procedure and it’s free of charge. There is no obligation to buy if a dealer accepts your bid.

How Much Should I Pay: 2010 Honda Fit Prices
February 4th, 2010

Question: Will the toyota recall have any effect on Honda prices, either an increase or decrease? I’m interested in a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with Automatic transmission.
Queen of the Road: According to CNN (http://money.cnn.com/2010/02/02/news/companies/auto_sales/index.htm?hpt=T2) U.S. auto sales rose 6% in January. Toyota said Tuesday that January sales fell 16% from a year earlier, which should not be surprising given the recall debacle.
Honda stated their January sales fell compared to the same period last year while Ford, GM, Nissan and Hyundai all reported improved sales. It is hard to say if the Toyota effect has taken place yet but we doubt Honda will be able to increase their prices due to Toyota’ recall.

Question For AutoBrag: Discounts For Honda Accords
January 31st, 2010

Question From Patrick: What is the average discount off MSRP that dealers settle on? If I ask for 10% off is that too much? What is realistic?
Queen of the Road: Hi Patrick. 10% is very reasonable. According to AutoBrag discount statistics…
For the 2010 Honda Accord,
The Average discount off MSRP: 7.98%
The Maximum discount off MSRP: 9.15%
For the 2009 Honda Accord,
The Average discount off MSRP: 7.98%
The Maximum discount off MSRP: 9.15%
As you can see, you shouldn’t feel an ounce of guilt when asking for more.
