How do you apply these prices?

Print out all the blue links and take them to your local Honda dealerships. But before you go, we highly recommend you call and make an appointment to see the Internet Sales/Fleet Manager because he/she should know exactly what you’re talking about. Avoid the floor salesmen, head straight to the Internet Sales Manager.

If they don’t believe your prices, ask to use one of their computers so they can see where these figures came from. It’ll be impossible for them to doubt you because you’re pulling up a Honda dealership’s website and checking their inventory. Remember, cars are a commodity so these prices apply everywhere in the U.S. This car in Florida should cost the same in California. The taxes vary by state.

How Much Should I Pay: 2005 Honda Civic (Updated)

July 24th, 2008

This Is An Update To A Previous Question

Question From Hom: Looks like Civics are in great demand nowadays. Someone is offering me 2005 Honda Civic LX with 28000 miles. Its in pretty clean and good condition and the drive feels pretty good too. I think the price is a tad high so I am not sure. What do you think?

MuscleCarGuy: Hi Hom. Welcome to AutoBragBlog, where we do all the car price researching for you. The Civic are for sure in high demand now with the high prices for Gas. How much are they asking for the Civic? To give you better prices we will need more information on the 2005 Honda Civic. It is a Coupe or Sedan? It has a Manual or Automatic transmission? Let us know each one are you looking for, that way you can help you pay a fair price for your next car.

Follow Up Comment: Hi

I don’t know why the price didn’t show up. The asking price was $13,100 for 2005 Civic LX Sedan with 28000 miles (Automatic).

I also saw an 2005 Accord Value Package Edition Automatic Sedan with 33000 miles -asking price was $15,000.

Thanks.

MuscleCarGuy: Hi Hom.

For a 2005 Honda Civic Sedan LX Automatic with 28,000 miles, prices range from $14,000 (being in above average condition) to $12,400 (being in average condition) and $10,750 (being in below average condition). Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $12,000 to $15,900.

The price is not bad at all, but try to negotiate for the $12,000 range. Just make sure to check Carfax and do plenty of research on the history of the vehicle. Ask for their maintenance records. You can even bring a mechanic for a brief inspection.

For a 2005 Honda Accord 4 cylinder Sedan LX Automatic VP Edition with 33,000 miles, prices range from $14,250 (being in above average condition) to $12,900 (being in average condition) and $11,500 (being in below average condition). Keep in mind that the numbers above are the wholesale prices. A dealership will usually aim to sell it for +12%-14% more than wholesale, so their estimated retail prices could range from $12,800 to $16,200.

The price on this 2005 Accord is for an above average condition vehicle. Is the Accord and perfect condition? If it is in average condition you should try to negotiate for $13-$13.5. Don’t forget to check Carfax and history of the vehicle. Good luck and keep us posted on how the purchase goes! Don’t forget to tell your friends and family about our free personal service.

Question From Aztony: How much for a 2008 honda civic EX Coupe. I think the dealers in my area are playing a joke on me. I got some online quotes from a few of them and at least two of them are under what your website says I should pay for it. It’s only $50 lower but I feel like, umm, ok, what do you want, my first born, an arm,…? I guess it’s because I’m not used to not having to haggle the price down. Should I take their first offer or try and go lower? The quotes I have received are: 2@ 19,269, 1@ 19,299.

MuscleCarGuy: Hi Aztony, Welcome to AutoBragBlog, where we do all the car price researching for you. Those quotes that you got are from the internet department? They usually are No-Haggle and offer the best price they could sell the car. You probably won’t be able to get those prices if you just walk in to the dealership.

How Much Should I Pay: 2008 Honda Civic (Updated)

This Is An Update To A Previous Question

Follow Up Comment: The question was on the Civic EX model, not the LX that you provided the figures for. I am also thinking of buying the EX model. The lowest price I’ve gotten so far is $19250 w/destination charge, but not OTD. Am I too understand that I should be paying the same price as someone in say Oklahoma when I live in Arizona? Can I order a vehicle from a dealer in another part of the country and have the vehicle shipped?

MuscleCarGuy: Hi Michelle. We apologize for the misunderstanding, below are some No-Haggle prices for the 2008 Honda Civic Sedan EX. If your local dealer doesn’t want to sell it to you for the same prices, you can contact the Dealer from the link we provide you and arrange shipment for the vehicle, or if you want to enjoy a nice trip with your new vehicle you can also drive it back to Arizona.
